Revised Statement of Investment Guidelines Is Now Available
GCFA has posted to its website, www.gcfa.org, an updated and revised Statement of Investment Guidelines. This document may be helpful to local churches and annual conferences. While GCFA does not provide legal, accounting or investment advice, nor do we make recommendations on specific investments, this document may be helpful in educating church bodies on best practices, policies and procedures. IRS Names J. Daniel Gary to ACT Advisory Panel
The Internal Revenue Service’s Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities (ACT) will introduce newly named members at a public meeting on June 10. J. IRS Announces 2009 Mileage Reimbursement Rates
The IRS has announced the mileage reimbursement rates for 2009. Beginning Jan. 1, 2009, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (which includes vans, pickups or panel trucks) will be:

55 cents per mile for business miles driven |
|
24 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes |
 |
14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations |
